Free website check · about a minute · no signup

A customer asks ChatGPT for the best accountant near them. Are you in the answer?

More people now ask AI assistants who to hire before they search. Those assistants can only suggest businesses whose websites they can read. This free check shows whether yours is readable, and what to fix first.

I read one page of your site plus three standard files. I follow your site's crawler rules and save nothing about your scan except an anonymous count.

You'd never know you were left out

Picture it. Someone types "best accountant near me" into ChatGPT. It names three firms. You're not one of them.

No one calls to tell you. There's no lost lead in your inbox. The customer just hires someone else.

Often the reason isn't your work or your reviews. The assistant couldn't read your website well enough to describe you, so it described someone it could.

Three ways it shows up:

You're not named.

The assistant is blocked from your site, or can't find your pages.

A competitor is described better.

Their site states clearly what they do and who it's for. Yours makes the assistant guess.

The details are wrong.

Old prices, services you dropped, hours that changed. The assistant repeats what it could find.

This is already how people look for help

What it costs to leave it alone

Nothing breaks overnight. That's the problem. Fewer people may find you through search, and you won't see why.

When Google shows an AI summary, the top result gets 58% fewer clicks on average (a correlation in Ahrefs' December 2025 data).

Estimate

McKinsey estimates that brands that aren't ready for AI search may see 20 to 50% less traffic from traditional search. That's their estimate, not a measurement.

The good news: most of what makes a site readable is basic, and much of it is quick to fix.

What good looks like

Example · before

"An accounting office. Services and prices aren't clear."

Example · after

"A local firm doing bookkeeping and tax returns for small businesses, with fixed monthly pricing listed on its site."

When someone asks an assistant about businesses like yours, it can read your site. It knows what you do, who you serve, where you are and what it costs. It describes you the way you would. Your link looks clean and trustworthy when it's shared.

You can't control what an AI says. You can make sure it has the right facts to work with.

Example

Rating: Fair. "Nothing is shutting AI assistants out, but the gaps below make it harder for them to describe you and pick you."

"15 of 21 checks passed. 6 things stand between you and a site AI assistants can read and describe cleanly, and 2 of them are quick wins."

Ratings: Low means at least one serious issue (AI search bots blocked, a security wall, a noindex tag, or no readable phone and location) or a score under 65. Good needs no serious issues, no failed major check and a score of 90+. Everything else is Fair.

Why it matters

Three sections. Open one to see the risk, what good looks like and the checks behind it.

Can AI find you?5 of 5 pass
The risk

If an assistant is blocked from your site, or can't find your pages, you're not in the pool when a customer asks. You won't know they asked.

What good looks like

The main AI assistants are allowed in, and a simple map of your pages tells them where everything is.

Will AI understand what you do and where?6 of 9 pass
The risk

If the assistant has to guess, it may describe a competitor more clearly than you, or repeat old prices and services.

What good looks like

Your page says plainly what you do, who it's for and what it costs, in words and in a format machines read without guessing.

Will it get your details right?4 of 7 pass
The risk

A missing preview image, a slow page or a "not secure" warning makes a good business look neglected, and people click the next link.

What good looks like

A clean preview, a fast and secure page, and images that are described.

Context

In July 2026, Adobe reported that visitors who came to US retail sites from AI tools converted at a rate 60% higher than other traffic (via Digital Commerce 360, Aug 2026).

Your fix list, easiest first

Start at the top. Most quick wins take a settings change or a few pasted lines. Items marked Serious can hold your rating at Low on their own, so start with those. When you're done, scan again.

Quick wins: usually under 30 minutes, often in your website builder's settings.

  • link previews (Open Graph)
  • image alt text

Small template changes: a few lines in your site's templates.

  • schema.org structured data

Bigger changes: how the site is built or hosted. Worth planning, not rushing.

Questions

What is in the $39 report?

Everything the free scan found on your page, plus a priority order, step-by-step quick wins and paste-ready drafts: a title, description, link-preview tags, a structured-data block, robots.txt and llms.txt lines, and your heading outline. The drafts use what I read on your page; anything I can't know, like your phone number, is left as a [bracketed] blank for you to fill in. It's a private web page you can download as a PDF or plain text, and the link works for 90 days.

What does the free check read?

I read your homepage and up to 3 key pages linked from it (contact, services, about), plus three standard files (robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt). I follow your site's crawler rules and save nothing about your scan except an anonymous count.

Can you guarantee an AI tool will recommend me?

No. No AI tool's mentions or rankings can be guaranteed, by us or anyone. You can't control what an AI says. You can make sure it has the right facts to work with.

Can I buy the report or the fixes today?

The $39 report is available now: run the free scan, then use the Buy button under your results. Payment is by PayPal or card through PayPal, and you get a private report link right away. The $299 and $499 fixes are coming soon, not on sale yet; join the waitlist and I'll email you once when they open. Fix prices are plans and may change before launch.

What isn't included in the fixes?

Rebuilds, moving hosts, and making content visible without JavaScript on builder sites. Sites over 15 pages, or custom-coded sites, get a fixed quote instead.

What if it doesn't help?

$39 report: 14-day refund. And if you apply the quick wins within 60 days and your free-scan score doesn't go up, you get the full price back. Fixes: cancel before work starts for a full refund. If anything on the agreed fix list wasn't done, tell us within 14 days and we'll do it free or refund that part. If your website builder doesn't allow the changes at all, you get a full refund. We don't refund based on how AI tools later mention or rank a site. Full terms are on the refunds page.
